shopping

Well, Aaron is off to Minnesota for his friend's wedding, and he will be back on Monday. Jill will be back tomorrow, so today, it's just me. Kinda weird, and I don't even have to work today. Guess I'll clean my room finally or something.

Yesterday, against our better judgement, Aaron and I decided to go to Rapid City to pick out an outfit for him to wear to the wedding, and I wanted to go get some stuff, also, as my mom, sister, and I will be going to Mississippi soon and I need some summer clothes. We (mostly Aaron) found him a nice shirt, pants, tie, and belt for the wedding, and then went shopping for me. I guess I just wasn't in the mood to shop for summer clothes, since it was snowing outside. Yes, snowing. Rawr. May 11th, and it's snowing. Thick, wet, gross, snow. It had to have snowed over a foot by the time it stopped this morning. I know my car is nothing but a lump on the road, buried under all the snow.

We found me a couple of skirts and a shirt to go with them, but no shoes that I could wear to work. Our rule is you have to have closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes at Kmart. But now that the Front End Supervisors can dress up instead of wearing black/red/white all the time, I'm going to see if there's an exception in footwear, also, as I couldn't find ANYTHING that fit me or matched that description w/o looking too frumpy. *sigh*

Anyway, driving back sure was interesting. We'd taken Aaron's car 'cause he has good rain tires on it, and it was raining at the time we left, and I'm not sure what kind of tires I have, even though I got them put on less than a year ago. The drive back home was a little nerve-wracking, and I'm really glad Aaron drove. Snow everywhere, Star Wars effects when you turned your bright lights on, and we even saw a car drive off the road right in front of us, and he wasn't even going very fast. Eek! I kept calm and composed, thank goodness, as usually I'm a basket case when it comes to this kind of weather and driving.

These next two pictures are as follows: 1) Injury sustained while moving furniture last Saturday, 2) Snow out my bedroom window this morning.
